Bishop Ed Peecher of the US Assemblies of God encourages all Americans, even as we may be discouraged by the options on our ballots, to remain engaged in the process and to seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which we have been called. Watch the video clip above and let us know what you think by commenting below.
Bishop Peecher serves as the Chief Operations Officer at non-profit organization Together Chicago and as the Chicago Commissioner of Public Health. He is the founder of the Chicago Embassy Church Network and was the first African-American presbyter in the US Assemblies of God, where he was named the president of the Inner-City Workers Conference (now the National Black Fellowship of the Assemblies of God). In his work today, Bishop Peecher looks to promote peace and justice in the city of Chicago with the help of local churches, businesses, community leaders, and government.
